Trailermate.shop EXPOSED – Is Trailer Mate Legit or a Scam?

Have you come across Trailermate.shop while searching for affordable trailer parts or automotive accessories? The store has quite a few familiar product names in its catalogue, including Moroso, and some of the prices might look tempting if you’re trying to save money on a repair. But there’s more to choosing an online parts store than finding the right product at a lower price.

I took a closer look at Trailermate.shop, including its product listings, business information, shipping arrangements and return policy. I also came across a public complaint about the website. Here’s what I found and why I’d be careful before placing an order.

Overview of Trailermate.shop

Trailermate.shop, also known as Trailer Mate, is an online store selling trailer parts, towing accessories and automotive components. Its catalogue includes wiring connectors, shocks and struts, bump stops, fuel fittings, adapters and other vehicle-related products. The website has a fairly standard online shopping layout, with product photographs, descriptions and discounted prices.

There are a few things worth looking at more closely, though.

It sells products from familiar automotive brands

One thing that makes Trailermate look like a specialist retailer is its selection of products carrying the Moroso name. Moroso is an established automotive parts manufacturer, and the store lists several of its fittings and adapters. Seeing familiar brands can make an unfamiliar shop feel more trustworthy, but it doesn’t tell you whether the retailer is authorised, where its stock comes from or whether it can actually fulfil orders.

The company information is rather vague

Trailermate provides a Milwaukee, Wisconsin address and a support email address on its contact page. However, its Terms and Conditions refer to the business simply as “Our Store” rather than clearly identifying a registered company. That’s not particularly helpful when customers need to know which business is responsible for their payments and orders.

Its return policy leaves some important questions unanswered

The store says customers can request returns within a “reasonable timeframe”, but doesn’t give a definite number of days. It also places several conditions on returned products and generally expects customers to pay return shipping unless the item is defective, incorrect or damaged. We’ll look at why this matters further down.

What Happens When You Order From Trailermate.shop?

Let’s look at what a customer might experience when buying something from this store.

Step 1: You Find a Product That Looks Like a Good Deal

Trailermate lists various automotive components with discounted prices. For example, it advertises a Moroso 6AN male to 3/8-inch tube compression fitting, part number 65350, for $10.19 instead of $16.99. That’s considerably cheaper than the $18.99 price listed in Moroso’s own catalogue.

The product itself is real, and its part number can be checked against the manufacturer’s listing. However, that doesn’t establish that Trailermate has the item in stock or has a reliable supply arrangement with Moroso. You’re still buying from Trailermate, not directly from the manufacturer.

Step 2: You Check the Store’s Contact Details

Before paying, you might look for information about the business. Trailermate lists 401 East Ogden Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202, along with a support email address. That’s a starting point, but the website doesn’t clearly identify the legal company operating the store.

The address also doesn’t establish that products are stored or dispatched from that location. If you have a problem with an order, you’ll want to know exactly which business you’re dealing with.

Step 3: You Place Your Order and Wait for Delivery

Trailermate publishes estimated processing and delivery times. Domestic orders may take up to five business days to process, followed by another two to five business days in transit. International orders may take up to seven business days to process, with an additional five to seven business days for delivery.

These are estimates, though. The website doesn’t clearly explain where individual products are stocked or dispatched from, so I’d ask about the availability and shipping location of the exact item before ordering.

Step 4: Something Goes Wrong and You Need a Refund

This is where the return policy becomes important. Trailermate doesn’t give customers a clear, fixed return deadline, and its policy leaves room for the store to decide how certain refunds are handled. Customers may also have to cover return postage.

If the wrong component arrives or a product isn’t what you expected, you don’t want to discover that returning it is more complicated than you anticipated.

Red Flags to Watch Out For

There are several things about Trailermate.shop that would make me hesitate before buying.

1. The Business Operating the Store Isn’t Clearly Identified

The website provides a contact address and support email, but its terms don’t clearly name the legal company behind the store. Referring to the operator as “Our Store” doesn’t give customers much information about who is responsible for their purchases.

2. The Return Window Is Unclear

A return policy should tell customers exactly how long they have to request a return. Trailermate’s use of the phrase “reasonable timeframe” doesn’t do that. The policy also allows for store credit or other reimbursement arrangements in certain circumstances, rather than giving customers a completely straightforward refund process.

3. There’s a Complaint About Copied Listings

I found a Scamwatcher report specifically naming Trailermate.shop. The person who submitted it alleges that the website copied product listings, descriptions, photographs and watermarks from legitimate online stores. The report also describes the website as a phishing operation. These are allegations rather than independently established facts, but it’s still worth being aware of the complaint when evaluating the store.

4. The Website Has a Short Online History

Trailermate.shop’s domain was registered in March 2026. That makes it a relatively new website, with limited history for customers to assess. I also couldn’t find a substantial independent customer-review record showing how reliably it handles orders, deliveries and refunds.

5. The Product Listings Don’t Establish a Reliable Supply Source

Trailermate displays recognisable automotive brands and identifiable product numbers, but doesn’t clearly explain its relationship with those manufacturers or where its products come from. A real product listing isn’t proof that the retailer is a dependable source.

How to Check an Online Store Before You Buy

If you’re considering ordering from an unfamiliar automotive parts website, don’t stop at checking the product price. Look at the business behind the store, search for independent customer experiences and read the return policy before entering your payment details. For branded components, check the product number against the manufacturer’s own catalogue. You can also contact the manufacturer to ask whether the retailer is an authorised distributor. If the store advertises a surprisingly low price, ask whether the item is physically in stock and where it will be dispatched from. Pay attention to the return arrangements too. A proper policy should explain the return deadline, who pays for return shipping, where products must be sent and how refunds are processed. These details become especially important when buying parts that need to match a particular vehicle or trailer.

Where to Buy Automotive Parts Instead

If you’re interested in a Moroso component listed on Trailermate, start with Moroso’s official website to check the product number and specifications. You can then look for established automotive parts retailers or distributors with identifiable business information, clear return policies and a track record of serving customers. I’d rather pay a little more to a seller whose stock and business details can be checked than take a chance on an unfamiliar store simply because its prices look attractive. When you’re buying automotive components, getting the correct part from a reliable supplier matters.

We’ve also reviewed other unfamiliar online stores, including Fjorna.com, EllaMaeShop.shop and FaithBlessedWear.com.

What to Do If You’ve Already Ordered From Trailermate.shop

If you’ve already made a purchase, keep your order confirmation, payment receipt and screenshots of the product listing. If the order hasn’t shipped and you want to cancel, contact the store in writing and keep a copy of its response.

When the package arrives, check the product number, condition and packaging before installing anything. If the item is incorrect, damaged or doesn’t match the description, take photographs and contact the seller. If the store doesn’t resolve the issue or the order never arrives, contact your bank or payment provider to ask about disputing the transaction. Don’t wait too long, as payment providers have deadlines for raising disputes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Trailermate.shop a legitimate website?

Trailermate.shop is an operating online storefront, but I couldn’t establish that it is a reliable automotive parts retailer. Its business identity is unclear, its return policy is vague and there’s limited independent customer feedback.

Does Trailermate.shop sell genuine Moroso products?

The website lists identifiable Moroso products, including part number 65350. However, that alone doesn’t establish whether Trailermate is an authorised seller or whether it has genuine stock available.

Where is Trailermate.shop located?

The contact page lists an address at 401 East Ogden Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202. The website doesn’t clearly establish that this is its warehouse or dispatch location.

Can you get a refund from Trailermate.shop?

The store has a return and refund policy, but it doesn’t specify a definite return window. Customers should clarify the return deadline, shipping costs and refund arrangements before ordering.

When was Trailermate.shop created?

The domain was registered in March 2026, making it a relatively new online store.

The Bottom Line

I would avoid ordering from Trailermate.shop for now. The website lists real automotive products, but that doesn’t tell us enough about the retailer selling them. Its legal business identity is unclear, the return policy leaves customers guessing and there’s a public complaint alleging copied product listings and phishing activity.

I wouldn’t treat those allegations as proven, but there’s also very little independent customer history to reassure buyers. With so many established automotive parts retailers available, I don’t see a good reason to take the risk.
